The pneumatically operated shut-off valve of the PCIPFM series consists of a free flow valve body, an intermediate, both made by microcast using stainless steel AISI 316L . The Y-shape of the valve body grants higher values of the flow coefficient Kv than the similar DN conveyed flow bodies.
The actuator, made up of 2 deep-drawn parts in AISI 304 stainless steel, is resistant and suitable for heavy outdoor environments in terms of temperature / humidity / presence of aggressive vapors. The drive spring inside is free; this allows a greater stroke of the rod compared to the technopolymer actuator. On the other hand, the inspection of the actuator must be carried out with extreme caution, scrupulously following the instructions for use and maintenance. The intermediate packing gland is made of Carbographite loaded PTFE V-rings and Viton, for optimal sealing both at high and low temperatures.
