Grayhills 68B Series Hall Effect Rocker/Paddle switches provide contactless switch operation, facilitating a very long operational life. The Hall Effect sensor magnetically detects the position of another moving part such as the shaft in a joystick or encoder. These switches have the advantage of working in low voltage applications and often features a sleep mode to conserve power. The Series 68B is unique among Grayhill human interface components. It is similar to a single-axis joystick in that it provides ratiometric output along a single axis.
